USAID Bureau for Global Health

The USAID Bureau for Global Health concentrates on improving health internationally in three areas: preventing child and maternal deaths, controlling the HIV/AIDS epidemic and combating infectious diseases. Within this bureau, offices that are particularly relevant to the fight for gender parity and LGBTQ rights include the Office of HIV/AIDS, the Office of Maternal and Child Health and Nutrition and the Office of Population and Reproductive Health—the latter of which works on family planning and access to contraception.
