Equity Forward Continues Digital Ad Buy
04.06.18 – Today, Equity Forward released a new digital ad on the heels of major coverage of the unconstitutional, anti-abortion policies of the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
The video highlights how HHS Secretary Alex Azar recently said — three times in one hearing — that the ORR issue is actually “not about Mr. Lloyd.” He’s right, the issue is about Secretary Azar and his failure to stand up for the rule of law and for equitable access to care. Secretary Azar’s HHS doubled down on their commitment to anti-abortion policies this week after receiving yet another federal court ruling against the agency.
As The New York Times said today on page A1, “No White House has been as aggressive in shaping policy in a way that hews so closely to the priorities of the religious right.” HHS’s practices are not only unconstitutional, they are unethical, inappropriate, and unjustly limit access to health care.
