DOJ Office of Legal Policy

The Office of Legal Policy is described as DOJ’s think tank. As such, this office acts as the main policy advisor to the attorney general and deputy attorney general, develops and implements DOJ’s policy initiatives, reviews and coordinates regulations promoted by DOJ and assists the president and attorney general with both selecting and confirming federal judges. Any major changes toward a humane immigration system and any major progress toward enshrining reproductive rights and bodily autonomy within legal codes would stem from this office.
